Franchise Partner, Joan Koelbel, celebrates 20th Anniversary
Anniversary celebrations are often about the people who make such milestone accomplishments possible. Joan Koelbel has a long-time commitment and dedication to Gecko Hospitality as a franchise partner. She is a key reason why the company is celebrating 20 years in the hospitality industry.
Who Is Joan Koelbel
Koelbel was Gecko Hospitality’s first franchise partner, joining founder and president Robert Krzak in providing staffing and recruiting solutions. The staffing of the management teams for restaurants and hotels includes existing operations, turn-around situations, and new store openings.
Koelbel currently owns and operates successful restaurant recruiting offices in three states, including the North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington DC markets. Joan is a member of the President’s Club and consistently a top producer year after year. A veteran of the restaurant industry, Joan not only managed restaurants, but she worked in food sales and distribution. Her award-winning energy in these roles, lead her to desire the freedom of becoming her own boss, where she could help others find the same successes she found.
Her prior work with the Board of Directors of the National Association of Personnel Services was instrumental in her career. She has been a great support in continuing education and active member of N.A.P.S. for years. Koelbel supports and advocates for the Credentialing, Bylaws and Ethics, and Membership committees. She is exceptionally engaged in the annual conferences and is a member of many hospitality organizations in her community.
